beautiful photo of the grasshopper and the one with stripes we call a yellow jacket. these are wonderful. i am to afraid of stinging bees and wasps to get close to get a good shot of them. I would need a really long lens

thanks fro dropping by today. I read your comment on bees. I am terrified of any bug that can sting. the yellow striped one in your second picture would have be runnning for cover. I have been frightened of stinging bugs my whole life and we have so many of them in our yard because of the flowers. our powderpuff bush is humming with bees. there is one or more on every bloom, hundreds of bees, when i get 3 feet away I can hear them. you will not see good photos like these on my blog, i stay with living non threatening things.

These are incredible. That grasshopper almost looks like it is made of glass. I have lots of bugs to shoot, but mine never have such clarity. Well done.

Nice selection - seems as though there are many bugs out and about - bit colder here, so less of them around, but soon (another month or so) then the bugs will be plentiful.

Great photos!

I love the pics of the inscets. There is something unique about things so small, especially insects on flowers.
I enjoy your blog very much.
