Wedding

It was Saturday, 6th June of this year when I took these photos of our neighbour Valentina who got married on that day. There were lots of people in the street (relatives, friends, children and neighbours) who waited for her to come out of her home. Some of her friends had already been ready to that moment to take her photos. I was among other curious neighbours and I couldn't find well position for me to take any shot that I could be satisfied with. What paparazzo I am when I didn’t manage to take any photo of the groom….I even didn’t know who he was. lol There are many of reasons for which it took me so long to decide whether to post any photo at all. Finally I chose some photos to post.

Valentina - Tina

When it was time to go to the municipality Tina (her nick name) came out in the street accompanied by her godfather who threw the candies and coins all around for children to pick them up. That is a habit that children like the most. This habit is repeated again in front of the municipality after the wedding is done. That is also a moment when a bride throws her flowers over her head towards the mass of girls that are behind her back.

What a pretty bride ... seems like it was a nice wedding.

I think sometimes weddings are just too big. They invite everyone they know and their parents know.

I think weddings should be smaller and more special.

Seems like this one was ...

Lovely bride! I've just returned from a wedding reception of a friend's daughter. It was at the Hilton Sentral, KL. About 1000 people. The bride did the throwing of a posy of flowers too. Guess what, a little girl was among the young ladies. She caught the posy!!
