Počitelj

Počitelj is a historical village in the valley of the Neretva River. It was nested under the high cliffs above Neretva on which dominates middle age defence fortifications. First time Počitelj was mentioned in written documents in 1444 but it probably had already existed before. The mixture of oriental and Mediterranean style gives this village a special look and beauty which attracts an eye of all passers who travel by the main road towards the Adriatic Sea or from the sea.

What a beautiful place, the scenery, the architecture, the minaret, the river and the beautiful old stonework. Just a wonderful place.
