J.J. Thanks for your question?
The name of the place where these rocks are located is Bentbaša. It is a part of Sarajevo along the Miljacka River. I took these photos while walking along the long promenade that we call “Aleja ambasadora” (Promenade of Ambassadors). I don’t know the number of ambassadors and diplomats from various countries around the world who planted a linden tree each. Hence its name. I think that there are about 80 to 90 plants of lindens so far. The intention is that the number of plants increases and hence the length of the promenade. There is a panel under each plant with the name of each ambassador and his country. That is a beautiful way for us to remember of them. I also think it is nice for them to know that they have their own tree here in Sarajevo. The promenade itself is located along Miljacka from one side and along these beautiful rocks that rising high from the other side. This is a beautiful place for relaxation and recreation with its natural environment undisturbed. It will be even more beautiful when the plants become trees.
