SEMPERVIVUM/Houseleeks

This Live-forever plant is like a good friend. It doesn't start on March and it doesn't fade on May, it is for every season, for always and everyday!

Do you call these plants "Hens & Chicks"? That is what they are called here and they are indeed very hearty! I have many in my garden ~ and they are a delight!

Have a Happy Day Medam!

Catherine,
I didn't know the name of this plant in English until I found it on the internet. That is how I know that there are places where it is also called „Hens & Chickens“. In my country it is called „čuvarkuća“. That would literally mean „house-keeper“, maybe because people used to keep it on the roofs of the houses.
Have a happy day to you too and thanks for your comment.

I like the term "housekeeper" ... I had one one time that actually bloomed. They are called "hen and chicks" here, too.

This is my type of plant. I'm not too good at growing things. I like ones that do it all on their own. Great pictures Meda.

Hi Meda; how are you going; I love all the sempervivums, live for ever!
This green one with the red tips is delightful. The photos are charming and natural with bits of moss clinging to the stone. Enjoy a lovely Sunday. T.

Sempervivums are the prettiest little plants, they add so much to a garden. Beautiful photos Meda, I like the angles you used for these.

We call them hen and chicks, too, but I like the name house keeper, and the thought of growing them on the roof!
