eye catching and insect catching, on the first one i see a little bug that might be a cricket. this is one weed i would like in my yard. hubby and i adore weeds and this one is specail.

Lovely shots of thistle : )
We have a different variety growing in the yard (mostly because we have a goldfinch feeder w/ just nyjer).

Plants are sometimes interesting to look at after they're 'spent.' I've been having fun taking noirish shots of post-bloom echinacea growing around in people's yards...

Is it thistle? The pods are so cottony yet they look prickly.
