Seqouia gigantea

I have learnt through the internet that Seqouia gigantea – Mammoth Tree or simply Big Tree is the world’s largest tree. It grows to an average height of 50-85 m but these fantastic evergreen trees are all most gone. As they are rare today it is illegal to cut them down. Today the only Sequoia species left are Giant Sequoias in California. That’s why I am happy to know that some of those trees I have found in my country in the wood only 5 kilometers away from my home.

Is this a Botanic Garden?

No Andrea, it is not a botanic garden but one of many other bigger or smaller woods on the hill Barice which is very popular outing spots.

Wow! These photos are great! My mom is from the SF Bay area and she has seen the CA sequoia trees. You are lucky to have some in your country too.
