Today's Flowers

For more wonderful photos of other lovely flowers please visit TODAY’S FLOWERS

It was windy and warmer over the weekend so all the snow melted. As there is no any flowers in my garden any more I decided to post some photos that I took in October of this year. I am sorry I don't know its name in English.
It is interesting that these little flowers turn into small red balls, not edible, that remind of cherries or very small potatoes. I already posted one photo of it last year October 15.

So lovely to look at your pretty flowers when it is cold and bare outside.

Beautiful! I love the close-up of the little flower but all three photographs are superb. The last photo with the plant in front of the window pane is beautifully composed. Great share, thank you.

Medam the close ups of the delicate flowers are wonderful and the red fruits bring winter cheer into the home. This is a nightshade plant. It is called a Jerusalem cherry or Madeira winter cherry, solanum Karstenii. If you are interested to read about this plant go to Wikipedia. It grows in my garden, it is said it was introduced by the Currawong bird. So the berry is higly poisonous to some birds, cats and dogs. Have a happy Advents time.

Your pretty flowers are of the Solanum family. The same family that potaoes are in, so you guessed quite right about the seeds.
