Hello Meda,
Thank you again for visiting.
The photos of this plant, called Lonicera japonica, are very well done.
The header is exquisite!
I hope you have a good week!

I love your new header. Japanese honeysuckle is one of my favorite plants. It's heady fragrance perfumed my garden in Rhode Island. Unfortunately, here in northwest Florida, Lonicera japonica is considered an invasive species. It is a favorite of gardeners and landscape architects because of its fragrant, beautiful flowers and fast growth. However, here it
displaces native species by outcompeting native plants for light, space, water, and nutrients.

We do have a native honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens) Coral honeysuckle. The flowers are tube shaped, about 5 cm long and are coral or bright orange on the outside and yellow on the inside. It attracts hummingbirds and butterflies to the garden. It's fragrance is not as pronounced as it's invasive cousin, but it is beautiful.

Lovely sweet honeysuckle we have it growing wild in hedges but not as beautiful as these cultivated varieties, I like to pick a few flowers as I walk into town just to sniff as I go along.

I love the smell of honeysuckle and your header is wonderful. we had honeysuckle in Kentucky and in Georgia when i was a growing up. Here in Florida out back yard has nightblooming jasmine and it smells as divine as honeysuckle.
