The last week of July I spent at the Adriatic coast with my husband. My memories are fresh and beautiful. I took lots of photos but it is difficult to me to make the right selection. Anyway, I hope you will like what I choose to post now and what I will be posting next days.

You know how I love sunsets, and these pictures are just amazing. Sunsets over the water are so beautiful--almost spiritual.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! ^0 years ago when we emigrated to Australia as displaced persons, we were in a holding camp in Italy for a month and had a trip to the wonderful Mare Adriatica. It was my very first sight of the sea and I have been addicted to it ever since. One of our number was a sculptor who in the short time we were there, sculpted a perfect, life sized mermaid. I still had the three pencil case seashells I had picked up there until 1983 when all we ever had went up in smoke in a major bush fire.
Oops, that was 60 years ago...just a little old timer's glitch!
