Where the thoughts goes while the water flows!

During the 15th and 16th century about 156 public drinking fountains were constructed in Sarajevo. They use to be built in mahals (quarters) as memorials. This is one of them but it isn’t the most beautiful. The water is beautiful, always cool and fresh. Every passer by can refresh themselves during the hot weather like it’s been over here this summer. I took this photo the other day while passing by it.

Very Refreshing
In Buxton Derbyshire theres a well where folk turn up with bottles and collect the waters. This same water 'Buxton Spring Water' is now sold all over the place.
Gereld of Hyde Daily Photo fame as a great picture of a local well dressing which is in a revival in these parts.

Very interesting shot and story. It's interesting to see such a historical part of life over there.

I like the way you framed your shot.

When I could drive, I did indeed collect my water from Buxton - see http://hydedailyphoto.blogspot.com/2006/10/st-anns-well-buxton.html

That's a lot of years that the water has been flowing and refreshing people. Interesting story.
