Visit to Goražde

A month ago I was in Goražde with my husband who was born in this city. We visited his cousins who still live there.
Goražde is situated on the banks of the Drina River in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina.

My husband’s cousin took us to the park called “Rorovi” located over the city. The above photo is only one of many other beautiful views from there.

In the Rorovi Park we could see many of artillery which I couldn’t help showing you on this photo. This artillery with its barrels turned towards the city was saved as a symbol and silent witnesses of destroying and suffering of the people during the siege (1992-1995).

Beautiful reflections in the water, and interesting to see the artillery from the recent history.

A wonderful and very interesting sequence of landscapes.
As regards the last unavoidable image, I am always hoping for the complete abolition of armaments all the world over.

What a beautiful landscape and its good to preserve the artilery of your past history. I'm glad it was saved too.

H MedaM, Goražde looks like a beautiful and peaceful place. Those guns though are just such a stark reminder of mans inhumanity to man. I just hope that it will serve as a reminder for us to be tolerant of others
