King

Here I am with a cat again; a young tom cat whose mother you saw in previous post.
Saturday was lovely sunny day and while I was on my terrace enjoying the sun this tom cat came wanting me to play with him and I did and really had fun. He is so cute, full of energy; he is simply adorable to me.
I then noticed a wrinkled apple still hang on the apple tree but I barely managed to take its photo because of him who climbed the tree disturbing me in my intention all the time. I took many photos of him but I will not bothering you with them all so I chose this one where he looks like the king of cats. lol lol And, you can see what beautifully blue sky we had on Saturday. It is the same beautiful weather today as well.
Wrinkle apple photo tomorrow.

Cica-Mica

That is how I call this sweet cat. I really don’t know how I would say that in a sense of English language.
This is one of my neighbour’s cats which use to make a mass on my terrace when I am off. It makes me angry when I see some of my flower pots overturned with the soil and plant out but I cannot be angry at them too long because I really love them all. They are so lovable that make my day very often.
Have a nice weekend!

Yesterday morning

I took this photo yesterday morning only to show you the view I see every morning while waiting for the bus to my work destination.
The blue high building on the photo is our Government where once I worked for years on the 10th floor. This building was heavily damaged by grenades of all calibres but it was reconstructed recently.
The temperature is 0°C this morning and it is snowing slightly.

Sunday afternoon

It’s been nice weather lately. The temperature of the air is about 2°C in the morning and about 12°C in the afternoon. Well, it is unusual for this time of the year when we use to have quite amount of snow and lower temperature but the weather is strange everywhere around the world. It was sunny yesterday and it seemed there was no fog at all but we were wrong.
So my husband and I found ourselves at a fortress called “Žuta tabija” (The Yellow Garrison). It was one of the bastions of the defenders during the battles with the Austro-Hungarian troops in 1878.
When we looked down on the city we saw it foggy but we still enjoyed a beautiful view of Sarajevo that extends from this place.
This is the place where one can find his/hers moment of isolation to have a rest soul.
Please, don't forget to enlarge the photos! :-)

Little bouquet

My dear blog friends I really appreciate the time you take to visit my blog; I would like to thank you all for that and for your comments which always make my day.
This little bouquet of various flowers is for you all. I bought it yesterday on my way home from a woman who sold it in the street. She had a carton full of little bouquets. That was a beautiful sight for me and I was sorry that my camera wasn’t at me at the moment.

Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!

Ibrik

This beautiful relief was made by my husband’s cousin who is a master of fine art. She gave it to us as a present several days ago.
Ibrik is Turkish word and it is copper, narrow-necked vessel with a cover. It used as a water pot or coffeepot what depends of its size.
This is kind of ibriks which once used for handling water.

These two ibriks were made by my mother’s uncle 49 years ago. He was coppersmiths who had his own copper-works in one of the well famous and attractive streets that is called “Kazandžiluk”. It is now uncle’s grandchild who’s been running the same copper-works. The craft of working copper is one of the oldest crafts, and is still practiced today. In the old days coppersmiths mainly made things like are copper dishes which they still do, but now also make souvenirs.
These ibriks are my mother’s souvenirs. Those are not the only copper things which she keeps in the memory of her uncle.

Ducks in Miljacka!?!

I was told even last year that there were ducks in Miljacka but I had never seen them before until two days ago. That is something new for me and for so many people who wonder how it comes. That is why I found interesting to capture some photos of them. They were quite far from me so the photos are not as clear as I would like them to be.

Bank of the Miljacka River

Bank is also the name of the street from which I took these photos yesterday late afternoon on my way home from work. This is Miljacka River that passes through Sarajevo. On the other side of the bank you can see beautiful building of the Sarajevo art academy, previously evangelistic church, which was built in 19th century.

This is downstream view from the same place.

B&W version

I posted this photo the other day but my blog friend Andrea suggested me to try its black and white version. So I tried. I still think the previous one is nicer.

Winter's garden

I took this photo last year on the 15th December. Everything around was covered with the thick carpet of snow so this greenery in front of a coffee bar attracted my attention.

Gloomy weather

It’s still being foggy, so my inspiration is being lost in it as well.
As I didn’t know what to post today I chose this photo on which you can see the tree-lined path I told you about in one of my previous posts when I showed you a horse coach.
This tree part now looks so dirty and somehow sad but it is another story when it is spring or summer.

Fog in Sarajevo

I would prefer hot tea. :-)

Sarajevo was swallowed by thick fog yesterday. The visibility was very low but the situation seems to be getting better today. Many people asked for medical help yesterday because of healthy problems caused by fog.
Only a few days ago the temperature was -14°C but today is about 3°C.

Loyal horse

From this place people can take a ride in this horse coach along 3 km long tree-lined path which leads to Vrelo Bosne, the source of the Bosnia River. That is the popular destination for locals and other tourists who wish to enjoy the nature.
I took this photo on Saturday afternoon. I wondered who a coachman expected to drive in his coach on that cold day. By the way, I couldn’t see a coachman at all; he was probably warming himself in some of nearby cafes while his poor horse was waiting for him obediently and patiently.

New Year's Resolutions Tag

I have been tagged by my blog friend Anna http://myonlyphoto.blogspot.com/2008/01/farm-windmill-to-windmill-farms.htmla
Anna is a wonderful lady always friendly and supportive whose blog is beautiful and always interesting.

RULES*Start Copy Here* When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories: 1) quite serious about them, 2) be flippant about them, 3) do it because we feel pressured to, or 4) do not do them. So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in. Copy from “*Start Copy Here*” through “*End Copy Here*” and post it. Before "*End Copy Here*" tell us who you are, your site(s) (with link) and your New Year’s Resolution, or not. Then tag as many others as you like, from one to your entire blogroll, your choice. If you like, create an intro paragraph to your post that also acknowledges who tagged you.
WHAT ARE MY NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS?
As for me I no longer dare to think about that, at least not to plan anything too more ahead. The only important things to me are: good health of me and my dear ones, to live in peace and freedom, to keep my family together, and to be supportive to my sons as much as I can, to keep my old friendships and make new ones, to help others if I am able to, and many other wishes…

For this game I would like to tag the following bloggers: Lara and Andrea.

So, what are your New Year resolutions?

Ice everywhere

Here I am finally for the first time in this New Year. The days go by and weeks rush on and before I know it a year is gone. May your new dreams, goals and hopes all be fruitful!

This winter is so sever. It is -12°C today. It’s really freezing outside.
