B&W version

I posted this photo the other day but my blog friend Andrea suggested me to try its black and white version. So I tried. I still think the previous one is nicer.

It was only an idea...
I can't decide what's better.
Maybe I have to agree with you.
You have been kind to try.

Ciao

I like the perspective with the hanging lanterns.

I kind of like the Black and White version. I do have to agree with wolfgang that the perspective is great. Nice shot!

Hope you have been doing well. I seem to have a hard time getting around to my blogging friends lately. Take care and stay warm.

I do like this one but it has a much harsher look to it. It depends on what you are trying to pertray (sp?) in your shot.
The other has a softer feel.

I REALLY like both versions, however agree that his one is "harsher" but it does evoke EMOTION! Very moody! Glad you posted both!!

I prefer the original as the colours add a good tone and softness to it. B&W is often too harsh for some subjects. I sometimes experiment with sepia toning or "old newspaper" as PaintShop Pro has it, rather than greyscale and often get some good results.
