Twins

This photo I also took on last Tuesday. These twins are just opposite the Church which photo I posted yesterday. The modern construction and the new Romanesque style can be seen in one place.
These two buildings are called UNITIC what means United Investment and Trading Company. People call them UNITIC Skyscrapers today, but before the war they were known as “Momo and Uzeir”; the folk’s characters from once a popular TV Sarajevo show. People never knew which one of those twins is Momo or Uzeir but isn’t the point just in that. In the multinational and mix cultural country like mine is it shouldn’t be important who is who. It is important that we are human beings, and that we are all the same in spite of the differences just like those two skyscrapers are in the centre of Sarajevo.
The skyscrapers also were hardly damaged in the war but were under the restoration actions like thousands others building over here and there has still been lots of unreconstructed building for the lack of the money. But its turn will come.

Neat shot of the buildings. Reminds me of our "twin towers" that were destroyed on Sept 11. Not as tall, but same type of concept.
